In general, stainless steel does not rust, but if it is used or maintained improperly, or in a harsh environment, it will rust or tarnish! Remember this is not 14K gold and everyone's skin is different :). We recommend not wearing during exercising, or wearing in the ocean and it may also react with lotions and perfumes. For best tips on cleaning, there are several great articles when you google "how to clean stainless steel". .
